This one little question haunts some of us when we look back and realize this year is almost over! I am not a person who will wait until the last minute to figure things out. Maybe it’s because I’m a first born; procrastination was usually not an option for me. I am a very proactive person. I am a deep believer that “Prevention is better than Cure.” And I feel good when I have some plans in place; at least an idea of how I want to utilize the opportunity that is given to me – one whole year – 365 days!
As we grow, it is not enough to build external sustainability. Internal sustainability is needed even more. Roots are the things that keep a tree balanced and allow it to grow taller. However great and high our external “superstructure” is – unless our inner core is strengthened, even a small gust of wind will bring the whole thing down.
Most of us have a set life – duties and activities that we do day in and day out. These habits should not block our growth by suppressing important questions: Is there anything I want to do differently next year? How was my last year? Did it feel good? Was there anything important for my growth that didn’t get done? As a person, have I improved and matured?
As the years pass we accumulate experience, but do we use it wisely to live a fulfilling life? If not, how much do I really value my own life? It’s not easy to answer these questions, however they shouldn’t be avoided either.
At times all we need a little “PUSH.” Here it is!!!
Let us come together as a Group, support each other and plan our 2015 to live a fulfilling and worthy life. As part of the program each of us will reflect on the past year’s critical events both good and bad and journal it. Chris will go over his “Stick Man” presentation – about paradigms and how they define who we are. We will list our “Weeds & Seeds” as I call it – the values we need to remove and the ones that need to be nourished. Each participant will create how they want their 2015 to be and how they are going to plan their days – weekdays and weekends – to nourish the SEEDS (values) they’ve chosen to flower in their garden. Also, how they are going to WEED the values that have been destroying their Life garden.
“Life without a plan,
As useless as the moment it began,
Serves merely as a soil for discontent
To thrive in, an encumbrance ere half spent.”
Come with an open mind and heart. This is a wonderful opportunity for self-diagnosis and to take responsibility and leadership of our own lives. Which direction do you want to go? You decide! Don’t let “circumstance” decide for you.
The Jan. 2nd Workshop materials include: A journal, a copy of Leap Beyond Your Limits, and other printed materials. Let 2015 be a landmark in your journey.
