Dear Spiritual Beings,
When I typed “Spiritual Beings” I felt a little hesitation in my fingers, and wondered why?… Then realized the FACT that the usage of those words is not so very common. That brings a good point!!!
Even if I believe deeply in my Heart “who I am” – that doesn’t mean I am actually living that way. OOOO. That’s a BIG RED flag for me, right there.
So this gap between my heart and my mind needs to be fixed. I reflected back on some of my experiences and I see something which was new or uncomfortable, which then became part and parcel of my life:
The very first week I was here in the Unites States in 1999- whenever I met people and exchanged greetings, The Americans (that is how different I felt) they would say – “I am Good and You”. This verbiage was SO foreign to me being brought up in a British System of Education. I felt the framing of that statement was very wrong grammatically!!! Why do these guys speak English like this? This was MY take, anyway.
After a decade, I am now one among the so called Americans (who I initially saw as strangers). Day in and day out I am using the same verbiage that I thought was so wrong 😉 So I figured out it’s the HABIT which makes me what I am, not my intellectual beliefs. O BOY!!! I am in trouble, am I not? It’s possible to have all this wonderful understanding and wonderful beliefs inside of me, but if I don’t put them into practice and LIVE my life that way, they will not take me where I REALLY want to go.
So, Dear Spiritual Beings, today is almost two weeks since we all met, exchanged thoughts, and offloaded a great deal of our unwanted baggage (and the chips on our shoulder, as Chris put it). I wanted to touch base and see how we are practicing “PAUSING” and Living the way we want to.
Please share your thoughts, tricks and tips for the benefit of everyone, as we are all growing and benefiting from each other consciously or unconsciously.
Have a Great weekend, and get involved in something which will fill your heart with kindness ….
With Much Gratitude,
